Add after jump well pushed mount along to comply with instrucs however the gelding commenced to race keenly & refused to settle. Add then commenced to weaken noticeably from 400m and did not feel comfortable in its action, did not pressure it over the concluding stages. A post-race vet exam revealed a small speedy cut on the near foreleg. Trnr was advised the geld would be required to barrier trial to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to racing again. Passed trial W'Farm 3/2/20.
12 THELMA PEARL 3/02/2020 Dubbo A post race veterinary examination of the mare that was beaten 22.78L failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities. Trainer was advised that a warning would be placed on the record of the mare for a poor performance.

A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities. 9 LINDEN WAY 8/02/2020 Gilgandra When questioned regarding the disappointing performance, rider stated that he was instructed to be positive on the mare. He said that after beginning only fairly, he ultimately settled further back than he had intended. He added that despite his urgings throughout the event to improve his mount into the race, the mare failed to respond to his riding and in his opinion failed to handle today’s heavy (8) surface. A post race veterinary exam revealed the mare to be experiencing a poor post race recovery and to be coughing. Trn adv vet cert+scope required prior to racing again. Clearance received.

Rdr advised instructions were to allow mnt to roll at a genuine tempo and lead if able, as it is one-paced, had been trained to run the journey and had recently schooled over hurdles. Added after setting a strong tempo early, she then attempted to give mnt respite from the 1800m. A post-race vet exam revealed no abs.

6 THE TOWERS 7/02/2020 Canterbury Park Began awkwardly. A post-race vet exam of the gelding, which was beaten 30 lengths, did not reveal any abs. Trainer was advised that the gelding will not be permitted to race at the metropolitan or provincial areas until the gelding has established competitive form in the country.
7 JUST ON SPEC 3/02/2020 Dubbo The gelding, which raced at Bathurst, Friday 31st January 2020 underwent a pre race veterinary examination and was passed fit to start. Slow to begin.

He said that from the inside barrier he rode his mount along in the early stages to comply with his instructions however despite his urging, was unable to hold his position on speed and was ultimately shuffled back to a position at the rear. He said that the mare never travelled comfortably throughout the event and was very disappointing in the way in which it closed off the event A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormalities.
