6 HOPE ISLAND 13/11/2017 Ballina Blundered on jumping. Carried wider rounding 1st turn & h/t. Inclined to lay in down straight. Rdr std, mount slipped on jumping, however, quickly recovered & settled in handy pos. Added trav comf in mid stgs & when leaders sprinted passing 600m, his mount was unable to go with them. Further std, mount was up in weight & down in dist & in his opinion would appreciate step back up in journey. Post race vet rev quartered N/F heel & mildly lame. V/C req prior to racing again. Vet cert received

Zielke reported that the horse returned to scale with its tongue over the bit, which, in his opinion, could explain the disappointing performance. He also added he would now experiment with the addition of a tongue-tie to its gear. A post race veterinary examination of the horse failed to reveal any significant abnormalities.

3 DAZZLE US AGAIN 25/11/2017 Gold Coast Passing the 400m bumped BALTIC PRINCE on a number of occasions when endeavouring to secure clear running. A short distance later was disappointed for a run and had to shift back to the inside to obtain clear running and in doing so slightly tightened the running of BARRAAJ.

1 LAST ARMAGEDDON 19/11/2017 Sunshine Coast Apprentice B. Northdurft reported his mount raced very greenly in the home straight and laid in over the concluding stages. He added the horse made an abnormal respiratory noise shortly after straightening and again passing the winning post. A post race veterinary examination of the horse revealed a suspected palate displacement. Trainer L. Hatch was advised that the horse must undergo an endoscopic examination prior to its next race start, the results of which to be forwarded to stewards.
