1 JUST BUSINESS 9/06/2020 Corowa Mis-strode near the 1200m. Was inclined to lay out when placed under pressure. Hung out rounding the home turn. When quest re performance rdr explained was instructed to ride the geld in a fwd pos if possible however the gelding showed no early speed & made an awkward stride near the 1200m whereby lost ground. Add rounding the h/t mount was inclined to hang out & raced greenly Trnr confirmed the instrucs issued & advised the horse is still immature & would benefit greatly from stepping up in distance. A post-race vet exam did not reveal any abs.
2 TALIANO 15/06/2020 Albury When questioned re the gelding racing in a more forward position rdr advised she was instructed from the inside barrier to be positive from the barrier & to endeavour to settle in a forward position. Rdr advised the instructions issued were consistent with what was issued when she rode it at its previous start, however on that occasion she settled further back than anticipated. Trainer confirmed the nature of the instructions issued, nevertheless she was reminded of her obligations to notify Stewards if there is a change of riding tactics.
3 LENEVA NOIR 9/06/2020 Corowa Was inclined to lay out when placed under pressure in the straight.
4 EUPHEMIA 15/06/2020 Albury Bumped passing the 1000m. When questioned regarding the performance rider explained from the wide barrier today he was instructed to ride the filly conservatively. He added ideally, he would have liked to settle slightly more forward, however overall, he was satisfied with the way the filly found the line. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities.
7 COSTA CHIN CHIN 28/06/2020 Dubbo Laid in under pressure in the early part of the straight.

9 RULER OF ALL 7/06/2020 Sapphire Coast When questioned regarding the performance of the gelding, rider stated in his view his mount did not appreciate todays firm track conditions. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding revealed no abnormalities.

He also added in his opinion the filly may be better suited ridden further back in the field. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities.
5 CHAP’S DREAM 15/06/2020 Albury Stewards permitted rider to ride the mare 1/2kg overweight in accordance with the overweight policy. Approaching the 100m rider accidentally got his whip entangled in the reins and was placed at a slight disadvantage for a short distance.

9 BLINKIN NOODLES 27/06/2020 Gundagai Rider was questioned regarding the performance. He stated that his instructions were to settle midfield today however after standing flatfooted and missing the start he was positioned at the rear of the field. He added that his mount then commenced to race keenly for the early and middle stages and travelled fine thereafter but was most disappointing in its efforts to finish off the race. He could offer no other tangible excuse other than the gelding may not have handled todays soft track conditions. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.

When questioned if there was an opportunity to obtain a position closer to the leader, Rider explained he initially commenced to shift inwards however felt after shifting inwards in his opinion where the ground was somewhat inferior elected to shift back out onto better going. Rdr add with the benefit of hindsight he may have been better suited allowing his mount to stride forward and obtain the lead. Also added the mare did not handle heavy track conditions.
