A post-race veterinary exam revealed a slow recovery rate.

3 THE WARLORD 6/08/2019 Scone When questioned rdr explained that due to what he perceived as very strong tempo in his pre-race assessment he elected to restrain from the start to obtain cover. Added his mount travelled relatively well during the middle stages and passing the 600m was positioned outside the eventual winner and was forward of the eventual second place getter, however the gelding failed to respond from that point and was disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. Trainer said that the gelding would be spelled.

9 MAI GOMEROI 7/12/2019 Gunnedah Tailed the field throughout. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding was 3/5 lame in the near foreleg. Stable representative was advised that prior to racing again must undergo a veterinary examination to determine its suitability to race and thereafter compete satisfactorily in an official barrier trial. vet cert and trial ok 13/1/20

5 FORTNITE 1/01/2020 Inverell After being returned to its barn stable on course, it was reported by the trainer that after appearing normal during the cool down period following this race and routine post-race husbandry being applied for some time the gelding had become mildly distressed. Gelding was treated by the club’s veterinary officer, for colic and heat stress symptoms. The air temperature was 34.9 degrees, the WBGT was 24.4degrees. Trainer was advised that prior to racing again must undergo a veterinary examination to determine its suitability to race. vet cert received 14/1/20

7 RECRUITING TO WIN BOBS Silver Bonus Scheme 26/08/2019 Bathurst When questioned regarding the performance of the gelding rider stated that the only excuse he could offer for the poor performance was that he was of the opinion the gelding failed to run out the 1400m of today’s race. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormality.
