He added his mount never travelled at any stage and disappointed with its failure to respond in the straight. A post-race veterinary examination did not detect any abnormalities. Trainer reported subsequent to the event that although he was unable to find anything amiss with the gelding it was now his intention to send it for a spell.

When questioned regarding her riding in the early and middle stages of the event in particular if there was an opportunity to race outside the leader Rdr explained she attempted to race outside the leader, however the mare was inclined to hang out and she could not manoeuvre the mare closer to the rail. Stewards accepted rdr’s explanation however she was advised she must make a far greater effort to race tighter to avoid covering unnecessary extra ground.

Rdr stated his mount continued to shift out under pressure in the straight despite his efforts to straighten the mare. Stewards accepted Apprentice rdr’s explanation.

12 BLESS YOU TOBY BOBS Bonus Scheme 8/09/2019 Gundagai Slow to begin. When questioned regarding the performance rider explained that after being slow to begin settled further back than anticipated. He added the gelding failed to travel throughout and was not suited by the tight turning track. He added the gelding would appreciate stepping up in distance and racing on a bigger surface. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities.

6 TRIBAL MYTH 16/09/2019 Corowa Rider reported on scale that his mount commenced to give ground from the 600m and as it was not responding to his riding, he did not unduly pressure it over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to have abrasions on both front fetlocks.

1 WEDNESDAY WARRIOR 1/03/2019 Wagga When questioned regarding the performance rider explained he had to make some use of his mount in the early stages to go forward however the gelding disappointed and failed to run on in the straight. A post-race veterinary examination found the gelding to be lame (2/5) in the off fore leg. Trainers representative was advised a veterinary certificate of fitness must be submitted prior to racing again. Vet certificate received.
2 MADAM PALMER 28/05/2019 Albury Checked approaching the 1000m when a runner shifted in when not clear.
3 FUNKY FARM 30/07/2019 Albury When questioned regarding the performance rider explained that the gelding did not travel at any stage of the event. She added in her opinion the gelding may have come to the end of its preparation. A post-race veterinary did not reveal any abnormalities. Trainer advised that the gelding will now be freshened up before its next race start.
