7 TRI NATIONS 2/10/2019 Kensington COT: To be ridden conservatively; settled midfield. Leaving the 600m became unbalanced when bumped. Near the 400m improved to the inside of heels where there was insufficient room and had to be steadied.
9 VINAIGRETTE BOBS Bonus Scheme 9/10/2019 Kensington Slow to begin. Laid in under pressure over the final 200m obliging its rider to change the whip to his right hand approaching the 100m.

3 INTERRAM 10/10/2019 Wyong When questioned re performance, rdr stated mnt travelled comfortably outside leader throughout the early and middle stages and he could offer no explanation for its failure to respond to his riding when placed under pressure from the 300m. A post-race vet exam revealed the mare to have speedy cuts to the off-hind leg.
5 A ROOM SOMEWHERE (NZ) 8/10/2019 Goulburn When questioned regarding the performance of the mare which was resuming, rider std that his mnt began well and showed its customary early speed however hung out in the early stages which was unusual for the mare. He added that shortly after straightening his mount changed stride and shifted in and was immediately under pressure and proved most disappointing in the straight. A post-race vet exam of the mare revealed it to have a slow recovery rate.

1 PHOENIX RIVER 1/05/2019 Warwick Farm Began awkwardly. Raced very keenly throughout the early and middle stages. Approaching the 250m when endeavouring to improve to the outside was hampered and carried wider. Laid out under pressure over the final 200m.
2 TAPICONIC (USA) 8/05/2019 Canterbury Park Slow to begin. When questioned, rdr std he had intended to maintain a position one out one back, however, mnt raced fiercely in mid stages & to take a position inside a rnr would have necessitated him allowing mnt to improve. Added as this would have placed him close to heels of another rnr, he was concerned he would not be able restrain mnt if it became awkwardly placed behind that rnr. Preferred option was allowing mnt to settle back, which resulted in losing his running when a rnr shifted in.
3 BRUNELA 29/04/2019 Narromine Stwds considered a protest lodged by rdr of 2nd placegetter against the 1st placegetter alleging interference over final 150m. After taking evidence, Stwds established that near the 150m 1st placegetter commenced to lay out under pressure carrying 2nd placegetter wider and near the 100m bumped with that runner. After taking into consideration the margin between runners at finish Stwds dismissed the objection.
4 RARI BOBS Bonus Scheme 1/06/2019 Rosehill Gardens Began awkwardly and shifted out. Rdr advised throughout the middle stages his saddle shifted and as a consequence between the 900m and 600m, his mount was unbalanced as he endeavoured to reposition his saddle. Near the 200m was steadied from heels. Held up for clear running between the 200m and 100m before obtaining clear running to the inside whereby it commenced to finish off the race well.
9 SOUND OFF (NZ) 11/09/2019 Canterbury Park Began awkwardly, shifted in and hampered another rnr. Was then shifted behind runners in the early stages from the outside barrier. A post-race vet exam rev no abs. Co-tnr was advised that the gelding, which was beaten 30.5L, will be required to barrier trial before racing again. Since passed trial at Randwick 27/9/19.
10 TORRID BOBS Bonus Scheme 20/09/2019 Newcastle The filly, which became fractious after being loaded into the barriers, was a late withdrawal acting on veterinary advice. Tnr advised filly must barrier trial before racing again. Since passed trial at Randwick 27/9/19.
10 TORRID BOBS Bonus Scheme 31/08/2019 Hawkesbury Began awkwardly, shifted in and bumped, and was then shifted behind rnrs from the outside barrier in the early stages. Laid in under pressure over the final 200m. A post-race vet exam rev no abs.

Had some difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the straight and near the 300m was disappointed for a run. Attempted to shift to the outside of another rnr passing the 200m, however, when unable to do so had to be shifted back to the inside to continue into clear running. Bumped passing the 50m.
4 HOLY EMPRESS 29/09/2019 Bathurst When questioned re disappointing performance, rdr stated although mnt endured a tough run racing wide and without cover throughout, he was nonetheless disappointed with its performance. Added in his opinion mnt may be better suited to being ridden conservatively with cover in future. A post-race vet exam revealed the mare to be displaying cardiac arrhythmia. Tnr was advised that a vet clearance, including the results of an ECG would be required prior to having to barrier trial. Vet clearance since received and passed trial Hawkesbury 14/10/19.
