When questioned re disappointing performance, rdr stated his mnt hung out throughout the event and continued to do so approaching and rounding the home turn. Added that shortly after straightening he became concerned with its action and desisted from riding, thereby taking no further competitive part in the event. A post-race vet exam rev no abs. Tnr advised must barrier trial before racing again. Since passed trial at Warwick Farm 6/11/19.
9 TAWARET 5/11/2019 Kembla Grange COT: To be ridden conservatively from its wide barrier; settled back. After beginning only fairly was then shifted behind runners in the early stages. When questioned re disappointing performance, rdr std that after settling mnt at the rear of the field in a genuinely run race he was confident of its chances prior to straightening. Added that although mnt responded to his riding from this point, he felt that its run ended approaching the 100m. A post-race vet exam rev no abs.

Tnr rep subsequently reported satisfaction with post-race condition & added filly was disadvantaged by being restrained t/out & is better suited when allowed to travel freely.
5 SINGLE BLONDE BOBS Bonus Scheme 22/05/2019 Canterbury Park Knuckled on jumping. Near the 100m, when commencing to tire, was eased to avoid heels. When questioned, rdr stated although mnt was unable to lead and it travelled wide and without cover for the majority of the event, nonetheless it was disappointing in the manner in which it weakened noticeably over the final 150m. Added at this early stage of its career, mnt had reached the end of its preparation. A post-race vet exam rev no abs. Co-tnr endorsed views of rdr and advised the filly will now be spelled. Since spelled.

8 LILLY PILLY BOBS Bonus Scheme 5/11/2019 Kembla Grange After being loaded into the barriers, the filly became fractious, reared and sat down behind. The filly was removed from the barriers, examined by the club’s veterinarian and deemed unsuitable to start. As such, the filly was a late scratching at 2.02 p.m. In all the circumstances, stable representative was advised that a warning would be placed on the filly’s barrier manners.

After the 1000m was shifted to the outside of another rnr and allowed to stride forward, whereby assumed the lead passing the 800m. Stewards opened an inquiry into the riding out of the gelding over the concluding stages. Rdr stated that his mount gave him a difficult ride throughout the event and near the 25m he was experiencing some discomfort to his right hip. Stewards noted his explanation and the report of the club’s doctor.
