He said near 800m he impr fwd & near 600m placed mount under pressure & drew margin on field however run ended near 150m. Rdr told should have remained racing behind rnr for longer.

9 CINNAMON CLOUD 5/11/2019 Kembla Grange Declared a late scratching at the barriers on vet advice after being struck by another runner. Trainer was advised that a veterinary clearance would be required prior to the filly being permitted to race or barrier trial again.

Stated mnt travelled well in early and middle stages, however when placed under pressure on straightening, failed to respond to his riding and was disappointing in the manner in which it finished its race off. Added in his opinion mnt would be better suited over further ground. A post-race vet exam revealed the gelding to have sustained superficial wounds to off hind leg.

5 MANSENETA BOBS Bonus Scheme 15/10/2019 Newcastle Began awkwardly and then ran in shortly after start, resulting in its rider becoming unbalanced. Post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities.
7 BOLLYWOOD BOBS Bonus Scheme 26/10/2019 Kembla Grange COT: To be ridden conservatively from the outside barrier: settled midfield. Raced wide and without cover until passing the 800m.
8 MAISAA 10/10/2019 Wyong Slow to begin. When questioned re riding from rounding home turn into the straight, rdr stated he trailed leader throughout and when he observed rnr to its outside lay out he felt best opportunity to obtain clear running was between those two runners. As consequence he shifted mnt away from rail rounding h/turn, however was unable to proceed into run and became held up. Added near 150m, directed mnt to inside to obtain clear running, however shortly after was again disappointed for clear running, became held up and was unable to be tested.

11 DEPTH THAT VARIES 1/06/2019 Rosehill Gardens Leaving the 900m was steadied when crowded. Near the 800m made contact with the running rail and became unbalanced. Approaching the 250m endeavoured to obtain a narrow run between rnrs, which resulted in it having to be steadied at the 200m.

3 HIGH RUSH 28/05/2019 Newcastle Post-race vet exam rev the mare to be displaying cardiac arrhythmia. Trainer was advised a vet clearance would be required, including the results of an ECG, prior to the mare having to barrier trial again. Vet clearance received and passed trial at Wyong 23/10/19.
4 MONSIEUR MACRON (NZ) 26/10/2019 Kembla Grange Raced wide and without cover throughout the event. When questioned regarding not using the whip on his mount in the straight, rdr advised Stewards that he had a discussion with trainer in which indicated that it was his preference that the whip not be used on the gelding, however, if he felt in the circumstances that the whip should be used, he should do so down the horse’s shoulder. He said that the reason for this was the horse’s racing manners whereby, in the past, it has had a tendency to shift out abruptly when struck with the whip.

9 ONDO PASA 20/10/2019 Wyong Rdr std instr to ride mnt conservatively. Std passing 400m mnt was pos to inside of heels so restrained mnt & lost ground. Added on straightening mnt showed greater response to her riding than anticipated & improved quickly to inside near 150m. From this point was obliged to pursue runs through field & became held up. Passing 100m endeavoured to improve b/ween rnrs but was disappointed for this run & went to the line w/out being tested at any stage. Rdr agreed she had erred in not shifting to outside.

Passing the 250m, when continuing to race greenly & when struck with the whip on the offside, shifted out abruptly despite the efforts of its rider. Continued to hang out, resulting in its rider changing the whip to his left hand near the 200m. Stable rep was advised an official warning would be placed on the racing manners.

7 RUBIC HONOUR BOBS Bonus Scheme 4/05/2019 Kensington Began awkwardly. Raced ungenerously in the early stages with its head up and despite being ridden along failed to muster speed. Raced keenly in the middle stages.
10 DIDDLES BOBS Bonus Scheme 12/10/2019 Kembla Grange Began awkwardly & shifted out. When qst re performance, rdr std mnt got its head on the side when racing fiercely, & when positioned o/side leader he attempted to restrain mnt in order to settle but it continued to race fiercely which he attributed to it resenting the crossover noseband. Added whilst mnt seemed to handle track conditions he was concerned how quickly it weakened. A post-race vet exam rev no abs. Tnr rep subsequently reported satisfaction with post-race condition & added filly was disadvantaged by being restrained t/out & is better suited when allowed to travel freely.
