Stated after beginning only fairly was reluctant to pressure mount in early stages as he felt, racing in blinkers for the first time, that it would overrace. 16e ASIAGO BOBS Bonus Scheme 4/01/2019 Canterbury Park After beginning only fairly, was bumped on the hindquarter shortly after the start. When shifting in to obtain cover near the 600m became awkwardly placed on heels and was eased.
17e JETSKI BOBS Bonus Scheme 27/02/2019 Rosehill Gardens Shortly after the start was bumped & became unbalanced. When commencing to close off the race, was disappointed for running to the inside of rnr near the 350m & shortly after was directed out across the heels of that rnr to obtain clear running. Colt then had a tendency to race greenly & laid out in the run to the finish line.
18e SALLY’S DAY BOBS Bonus Scheme 27/02/2019 Rosehill Gardens When qstd re perform, rdr std that his mount began only fairly & as he had been asked to ride positively in early stages he had to make use of filly to settle outside the leader & eventual winner, where it travelled strongly for the major part of the race. He said that the early effort of racing forward & the manner in which filly had travelled had a significant bearing on it weakening over the final 100m. Post-race vet exam - no abs. Stable subsequently reported were satisfied with post- race condition of the filly.

2 HOSTWIN SHADOW 24/02/2019 Hawkesbury When qstd rider stated mount travelled well in early & middle stages, however weakened from the 400m. Added in his opinion gelding did not back up from its last start at Newcastle 16/2/19. Post-race vet exam - slow to recover. Trainer agreed with rider & advised gelding will now be freshened up. Trainer subsequently advised that he was satisfied with the post-race condition of the gelding & an examination by his stable veterinarian revealed no abnormalities.

4 CLASSY ANNA 1/08/2018 Warwick Farm When qstd re disappointing performance, rider stated only explanation he could offer was that the mare made an abnormal respiratory noise. Stated mount did not travel well at any stage, was reluctant to maintain its position & as a result was shifted to rail passing 700m. Stated when mount continued to travel only fairly he shifted it to outside in an attempt to have it finish its race off, however it was disappointing. Added in his opinion would be better suited stepping up in distance & racing on bigger tracks.
8 COMMUTE BOBS Bonus Scheme 6/03/2019 Kensington After being loaded into the barriers, became fractious & made slight contact with the front gates. The filly was removed from the barriers, examined by the Club's vet & passed suitable to race. Slow to begin. Raced keenly in the early & middle stages. Approaching the 800m was eased to avoid heels.
9 DANCING PHRYNE 21/11/2018 Newcastle Bumped on jumping.
12 PHILIP 11/02/2019 Queanbeyan Slow to begin. Rider reported mount did not show its anticipated early speed and did not appear to lengthen in the home straight. Added on pulling up felt mount to be stepping short and in his view it may have jarred up on the firm surface. Post-race vet exam revealed the gelding to be stepping short in front, with no associated lameness, and likely to have jarred up. Vet clearance since received.

3 ELLIE’S ENCORE 22/02/2019 Canterbury Park Rider stated instructed to ride mare prominently & in early stages was able to maintain position to inside of runner, however when that horse showed superior pace he allowed it to cross near the 900m in the hope that runner would maintain the lead. Stated when that runner was eased by its rider approaching 700m & allowed another runner to cross, his mount was shuffled back towards rear of field. Rider was told that he had erred in the early stages by not endeavouring to maintain his position to the inside of that runner & ultimately allowing it to cross.
4 CLEAR THE BEACH 22/02/2019 Canterbury Park Slow to begin. Rider reported that he had concerns with the action of the gelding during the event. Post-race vet exam - poor post-race recovery rate. Vet clearance since received.
6 DISSOLUTION 1/12/2018 Kembla Grange On jumping, shifted in & made heavy contact with another runner. Rdr std mount trav well in behind lead, however, when placed under pressure on straightening failed to respond to his riding & was disappointing in the manner in which it finished its race off.
8 INVINCIBLE GANGSTA 8/03/2019 Newcastle Rdr std from outside barrier was instr to ride mount conservatively to have it finish its race off. Std after beginning particularly well did not ride mount along to cross as this would have been contrary to instr, so elected to restrain to obtain cover, however when mount hung out throughout was unable to obtain cover & was left racing wide. Std after straightening did not place mount immediately under pressure as was confident of its chances, however when pressured from 250m it did not respond as anticipated & its run ended near the 50m.

When questioned re performance, rider stated that after being ridden conservatively in the early stages the gelding, which was resuming from a spell, had every opportunity to finish its race off, however failed to respond to his riding in the home straight & performed below expectations. Post-race vet exam - no abnormalities.
12 KANAVU BOBS Bonus Scheme 28/02/2019 Wyong From a wide barrier was shifted behind runners in the early stages. Hung in when placed under pressure in the straight and over the final 100m raced tight.
13 EVALINA BOBS Bonus Scheme 6/03/2019 Kensington From the 400m until passing the 350m, was badly held up on heels. Stewards advised app. rider that he had erred in not immediately shifting to the outside of rnr he was trailing on straightening, which would have afforded his mount clear running at the relevant stage.
15 STOCK UP (NZ) 21/12/2018 Kensington On jumping was crowded for room between runners. Carried inwards near the 1200m. Rdr std mount raced too keenly throughout the early & middle stages & as a result was unable to finish its race off. Added the poor perf was principally due to the manner in which his mount travelled. Post race vet rev mare to be slow to rec.
