He stated that the colt became under pressure early in the straight and although the colt was not entirely comfortable on today’s surface nonetheless he did not consider this had a bearing on the manner in which the colt weakened over the latter stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.

He said in early stages geld failed to show any gate speed & when a number of riders to his outside showed their intention to trav prom he elected to allow another rnr to cross him appr the w/post on the first occasion, which resulted in geld trav further back than anticipated. He said, irrespective, geld came under pressure past 600m, adding mount, which was second up from a spell, failed to stay today's distance. A post-race vet exam rev no abs.

6 WATCH THE CAT 8/06/2019 Royal Randwick Slow to begin. Rdr advised gelding, which was having first start on heavy track, did not handle the prevailing conditions particularly on home turn where it blundered on number of occasions. Post race vet no abs other then speedy cuts to its near fore cannon.
7 BY DESIGN (NZ) 13/06/2019 Gosford When quest rdr explained he was under no spec instruc other then to have it travel comfortably. Said mount trav well in pos WTM, however was held up for some dist and was unable to improve pos between 600m to 200m. As to whether there was opportunity to improve his pos pass 900m when rnrs which were racing in rearward pos, improved around field, as he was reluctant to make wide run making H/turn. Rdr was advised that in circumstance would have been more beneficial to trail those rnrs with cover, which would have allowed mount to improve and avoid being held up.
9 ROAD TO BLUE SKY (NZ) 30/05/2019 Gosford When questioned regarding the performance, rdr stated that he was instructed to lead and he was able to obtain the lead in the early stages, where his mount travelled comfortably at a moderate tempo. He said that his mount commenced to lay out from the 1100m and, two rnrs improved to his mount’s outside passing the 800m, his mount became immediately under pressure and was disappointing in its failure to respond to his riding from that point. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities.

7 THE BOOMERANG BOBS Bonus Scheme 30/05/2019 Gosford When questioned, rider stated that he was instructed to ride his mount with cover today. After being slow to begin from its wide barrier, raced keenly in the early stages and, when the tempo slowed near the 1400m, he allowed it to stride forward, rather than continue to fight it, as it is one-paced. After improving to a position outside the leaders, passing the 800m, his mount commenced to hang in. Under heavy pressure was disappointing in its failure to respond to his riding from that point. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities.

9 ROYAL ANTHEM BOBS Extra Bonus Scheme 8/06/2019 Newcastle When qst regarding mare racing prominently, rdr std at its two most recent starts mare had been slow to begin & this resulted in it settling back. Std today with favourite being the anticipated leader, instr were to race fwd. Add after beginning only fairly, rode mount along in the initial stages & when caught wide, was obligated to cont to ride fwd, where he was able to obtain pos outside leader near 1500m. Stable rep conf instr & was reminded of obligation to notify stewards of any changes in riding tactics.
10 CRETE BOBS Bonus Scheme 8/06/2019 Newcastle Hampered on jumping. Passing the 300m was eased to avoid heels. Laid in over the final 300m and proved difficult to ride out.
