10 STRAPPING CONQUEST BOBS Bonus Scheme 9/07/2019 Wellington Rider stated after having to check his mount near 1000m, he had to make some use of his mount in order to obtain a position off pace with cover. He said mount never really travelled throughout & suggested he application of blinkers to benefit filly in its future starts. A post race vet revealed an abrasion to the off hind hock. Trainer concurred with the comments of rider and will apply blinkers next start.

Trainer was advised that the gelding would be required to barrier trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards prior to racing again. Passed trial 9/7/19 Wellington.

When qtd as to why she did not make use of her mnt and move further fwd to get a pos closer to rail std that as her mnt was racing comfortably she thought that by pressuring it at this stage to go fwd that it would been detrimental to the chances of the gelding but in hindsight this would have been far better option.

8 ENLIGHTENED BOY 7/07/2019 Mudgee Near the 350m was disappointed for a run between runners and was shifted to the outside to secure clear running. Near the 150m rider accidentally made contact with the right shoulder of rider to outside, when racing in restricted room between runners.

Said after obtning pos worse than mid, looked to improve near the 800m, however despite his urgings, failed to respond to rding and rnr and when rnr to outside improved had to steady from heels of rnr near 700m. Added in his opinion never trav comfortably and did not appreciate firm track. A post race vet rev geld to be 1/5 lame in near side. Trainer advised vet cert req prior to next start. Vet clearance received.

4 SONG OF LUCK BOBS Bonus Scheme 6/07/2019 Dubbo Stood flat footed and missed the start (3L). Trainer was advised a warning would be recorded against the filly.

A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any obvious abnormality. Trainer reported that he believed the gelding may have resented the tongue tie and advised that he will remove it from the geldings approved gear.

1 ANY BLINKIN’ DAY 3/07/2019 Canterbury Park Rdr exp that he had been asked to lead if possible, although he was also given an alternative that if another rider was intent on racing prominently, it would be acceptable for him to assume a trailing position. In early stages when another rnr went forward, he allowed that runner to cross him near the 1000m. Gelding then relaxed and travelled well, however, on the home turn laid out and shifted ground.

A post race veterinary examination revealed the filly to be lame in the off hind leg. Trainer was advised that a veterinary certificate of fitness would be required before the filly trials or races again. Vet clearance received.
4 SMART MOOVE BOBS Bonus Scheme 9/07/2019 Wellington Crowded on jumping between runners and lost ground (2L). Rider stated after being crowded at start he lost ground and subsequently raced futher back than intended. Added mount was inclined to hung out bewttwen 600m and 300m & in his opinion failed to handle the tight turning Wellington track. Futher added when balanced up in straight filly finished it race off well. A post race vet exam revealed no abs.
5 BEL BLASTER 17/06/2019 Bathurst When questioned regarding the improved performance of the gelding, trainer stated that the gelding has performed best in the past when racing at Bathurst and when able to get to the outside of runners as it was able to do today. He added that he was also now of the opinion that the gelding was best suited kept fresh in fast run 1100 or 1200m races after trying it over further earlier this preparation.
