5 RUARK 2/07/2019 Corowa Slow to begin. When questioned regarding the performance rider explained his mount was not suited by the fast tempo of the event and would derive benefit from the run. He added the gelding did not appreciate the kickback throughout the event. A post-race veterinary examination did not detect abnormalities.
7 FUNKY FARM 23/06/2019 Wagga Trainer could offer no tangible explanation for todays improved performance other than he had given the gelding a longer break between runs and may be better suited when kept fresh. He added it was his intention to space the geldings run in the future. His explanations were noted.

A post-race veterinary examination did not detect any abnormalities.

4 SERIOUS DOUBTS 12/07/2019 Goulburn Slow to begin. Q’d regard the tactics adopted in the middle stages of the event and in particular the gap his mnt had opened up on the field, rdr std that he was instruct to be positive on his mnt early. He added that after viewing a replay of the race he was surprised by the margin that his mnt had established on the field in the middle stages but did not believe that he had gone too quickly during that section of the race. The first 800m sectional subsequently was found not to be significantly faster than historical data and the explanation of the rdr was noted.

Held up from the 400m until passing the 200m-When quest as to whether there was an opportunity to obtain an inside run shortly after straightening, rdr said prior to this he made a commitment to shift to the outside of another runner, however when that runner shifted out, he was then held up for a short distance before it shifted back in-reminded of his obligations to ride all of his mounts out at least hands and heels to the finish
