1 I AM CAPITAN 3/08/2019 Royal Randwick Shifted out at the start. Rdr reported mount hung out throughout the event and proved difficult to ride. A post-race vet exam rev no abs. Trainer advised was satisfied with the post-race condition of gelding. Said at its two most recent starts, had not been able to match the early speed & was unsuited by travelling further back in the field than is customary. Said it is his intention next start to attempt to race more prominently, which he hopes will assist the gelding in racing more tractably.
2 MY TAGOSON 11/05/2018 Scone Slow to begin and then was hampered.
3 ZARDORO 3/08/2019 Royal Randwick Raced keenly in the middle stages. Steadied when awkwardly placed on heels near the 450m. Held up for clear running between the 400m and 300m, before shifting to the outside to secure clear running.
5 ASSAULT’N’BATHORY 27/07/2019 Rosehill Gardens Began awkwardly. A post-race vet exam of the gelding, which weakened noticeably in the straight after leading, found it to be 3/5 lame in the off foreleg. Tnr advised that the gelding, which has experienced some lameness previously in its off foreleg had pleased leading up to today’s race and had expected the gelding to perform well. Add in her opinion, the gelding was not suited by being pressured in the lead and this, together with the lameness detected post-race, were the reasons for its performance. Vet clearance required. Vet clearance since received.
7 SMOODGE 16/08/2019 Dubbo Began awkwardly.
10 BELLASTAR 20/07/2019 Royal Randwick From its wide barrier was shifted in behind runners in the early stages. Raced wide rounding home turn when improving its position.

7 BUBBLES BALL 31/07/2019 Warwick Farm Near the 700m was steadied to avoid heels. On straightening was momentarily steadied to avoid heels.
10 CONSTELLATIONS 1/06/2019 Rosehill Gardens Near the 600m shifted in. When questioned, rdr reported he had to make some use of the mare in the early stages to take up a position forward of mid-field whereby he was able to follow the winner throughout the event. He said that under pressure in the straight the mare was disappointing and he could offer no further explanation for the performance. A post-race vet exam rev no abs.

6 AUSSIE BOBS Bonus Scheme 21/02/2019 Hawkesbury Began awkwardly. Near the 350m, when placed under pressure, began to hang out resulting in rdr changing whip to left hand in attempt to correct mount, however passing the 200m continued to hang out for the remainder of the race and proved difficult to ride out.
8 EXOTIC RUBY 1/08/2019 Hawkesbury Became unbalanced shortly after the start when contacted on the hindquarters.
9 PANDEMIC BOBS Bonus Scheme 23/07/2019 Wyong From its wide barrier was shifted in behind runners in the early stages. Laid in under pressure inside the final 200m, obliging its rider to change his whip to his right hand passing the 100m.

After beg satisfactorily, rdr formed view he would not have sufficient speed to cross rnr in early stgs, & so eased mnt to take a trailing pos to avoid racing wide & w/c. Std as a result, settled further back. Added trav satisfactorily, however was dis in the manner in which closed its race off. Whilst Stewards agreed mnt trav keenly in early stgs & did not close race off, rdr was nonetheless advised where pos, should endeavour to ride as per instrs.
5 NOVEMBER MAN 22/06/2019 Royal Randwick On straightening was hampered and crowded between rnrs. In this incident gelding made contact with one of those rnrs, became unbalanced and was eased.
6 NATALIA 20/07/2019 Royal Randwick Rdr advised that near the 300m he steadied and shifted to the outside of another rnr in order to secure clear running towards the centre of the track. He added that under pressure in the straight the filly responded fairly to his urgings and in his opinion may be better suited to having its runs spaced.

9 WITHERSPOON 23/03/2019 Kembla Grange L/scr on arrival at barrier on veterinary advice when found to be 1/5 lame near foreleg after rdr expressed concern with filly's action. Tnr was advised that a vet clearance will be required prior to be being permitted to race again. Vet clearance since received.

10 DESIGNER MAID 20/07/2019 Eagle Farm Bumped on jumping and then shifted outwards and made contact with another runner. Laid outwards making the turn into the straight. A post-race vet exam rev no abs.
12 IAMACRUMPET 10/08/2019 Newcastle Stewards approved gear changes for last start winner (Tongue Tie on, Bubble Cheeker (off-side) off) as trainer advised that the mare will be stepping up in grade and has pleased in its work with the different gear.

1 NOTIO 10/08/2019 Rosehill Gardens An inquiry was opened into riding out of mount over concluding stages. Rdr explained near the 100m a rnr commenced to shift in, when there was no response from other rdr and he continued to ride his mount, he elected to stop riding as he was of view that said rnr would continue to shift in. Added that when rnr was corrected by other rdr the run remained available and over the final 2 strides he was able to recommence riding mount to finish. After considering explanations, stewards found his actions were an appropriate response and no action was taken.
2 WOLFE (JPN) 25/05/2019 Royal Randwick Near the 150m shifted out when being struck with the whip.
3 SLOW BURN 3/08/2019 Royal Randwick When qst re riding in the straight, rdr stated that, as she had observed another rnr to hang out in the middle stages, she had anticipated improving to that runner's inside on straightening. Added that as the field straightened, she was unaware a run had developed to the inside & when she observed its rdr turning rnr's head in, she elected to shift to the outside to improve, but was unable to fully test mount until near the 150m. Rdr agreed she had erred in not obtaining a position to the inside that was available on straightening.
4 GROUNDBREAK 4/08/2019 Ladbrokes Park Lakeside Slow to begin. Over raced in the middle stages. Laid in under pressure in the home straight. When questioned re tactics, in particular the reason he improved quickly from the 600m, rdr explained he did not believe that he was in a winning position due to being too far back at this point so he elected to improve. In hindsight, he conceded that he may have been better suited to ride for luck.

10 ALL BUT GONE 25/07/2019 Kembla Grange Slow to begin (2L). Held up rounding the home turn and in the early part of the straight. When questioned re improved performance, tnr advised that he made some changes to the gelding's raceday gear and had also made some changes to his training of the gelding since its last start. Added that, although the gelding was slow to begin, it was an improvement on how the gelding has been commencing its most recent races. He attributed these factors to the gelding's improved performance today.

5 NEW TIPPERARY BOBS Extra Bonus Scheme 27/07/2019 Rosehill Gardens Rdr reported that whilst the gelding endured a wide run without cover it failed to travel at any stage & was under pressure from the 600m. A post-race vet exam rev no abs. Tnr subsequently reported that a vet exam by usual stable vet rev no abs, & added only explanation he could offer was gelding had raced on heavy tracks past two starts, and he intends to freshen gelding up before next start.
7 SO YOU WIN BOBS Extra Bonus Scheme 29/06/2019 Rosehill Gardens Over the final 200m commenced to lay in and proved difficult to be placed under full pressure. Over the final 50m commenced to shift in and made contact with another runner approaching the winning post and as a result rider was obliged to make every endeavour to correct his mount, which prevented him from placing the gelding under full pressure during the relevant stages.
8 WU GOK 20/07/2019 Royal Randwick From its wide barrier was shifted in behind runners in the early stages.
9 HIGH OPINION 15/06/2019 Ipswich After travelling a short distance hung in and made heavy contact with another rnr. Hung in for a major part of the race and in the home straight when shifted wider to improve proved difficult to ride. A post-race vet exam rev no abs.

Added that as mount can overrace, he elected to shift in behind in the early stages to ensure the gelding settled and did not cover additional ground. Over the final 200m was inclined to lay in and approaching the winning post was awkwardly placed close to heels and was not able to be fully tested.
9 CRADLE MOUNTAIN 27/07/2019 Rosehill Gardens Rdr reported that the gelding travelled comfortably in the lead but soon after straightening commenced to give ground quickly & as he was concerned there was something amiss he eased it down over the final 300m. A post-race vet exam revealed the gelding to be slow to recover. Stable rep could offer no explanation for the performance. Must barrier trial prior to next race start. Since passed barrier trial at Warwick Farm 9/8/19.
10 GIRL TUESDAY 1/06/2019 Rosehill Gardens Rdr permitted to ride 0.5kg over allotted weight. Began awkwardly. At the 400m was bumped.

Add mnt failed to travel when settling behind mid stgs, & after being shifted to the outside in the straight mnt was only one-paced & raced flat.
