Said he was able to obtain this position near the 600m, whereby the colt travelled well. Added when placed under pressure rounding the home turn mount did not to respond to his riding & was disappointing in its failure to finish the race off. A post-race vet exam rev no abs.

Rider reported that his mount hung in throughout the event and as a consequence he was unable to place his mount under his usual vigour in the home straight. A post-race vet exam rev no abs. Tnr advised it would be his intention to drop the gelding back in distance and grade.
6 AGOSTO (IRE) 25/07/2019 Kembla Grange From the outside barrier was shifted behind runners in the early stages. When placed under pressure in the home straight commenced to lay in resulting in its rider having to change the whip from the left hand to the right hand.
7 GRAND EAGLE (NZ) 20/07/2019 Kembla Grange Made the 1700m crossing awkwardly. Raced keenly and was difficult to settle in the early and middle stages. Hung inwards in the straight obliging its rider to change the whip to his right hand near the 350m.

16e ART OF MORE 1/08/2019 Hawkesbury When questioned regarding disappointing performance, rdr stated he was able to establish a position outside the leader without having to make too much use of his mount from the wide barrier. Added whilst mount travelled well throughout the event, the gelding was a month between runs and stepping up to 1800m for the first time, and weakened over the final 100m which he attributed to these two factors. A post-race vet exam rev no abs.
