4 TIC TOCK MAN 12/08/2019 Goulburn Q’d regarding the disappointing performance of the gelding, rider stated that his mount raced like a tired horse and did not respond to his riding in the straight. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding did not reveal any abnormality. Co-trainer advised that the gelding would now be sent for a spell.

1 ACHONDRITE 17/07/2019 Warwick Farm Passing the 700m commenced to race keenly and had to be checked from heels. Between the 200m and the 100m was shifted to the inside of runners in an endeavour to obtain clear running, and for a short distance approaching the 100m was positioned awkwardly on heels before securing clear running.
2 ROCK ZONE 27/07/2019 Gosford Shifted behind runners in the early stages from outside barrier. When questioned regarding performance, rdr stated mount travelled keenly when caught wide and without cover in early stages. Added in middle stages was able to obtain a position behind, whereby mount travelled well, however, when placed under pressure to improve into race from the 600m failed to respond to riding and was disappointing with manner in which it failed to run on in straight. A post-race vet exam rev no abs.

5 JUST JESSIE BOBS Bonus Scheme 12/08/2019 Goulburn Q’d regarding the disappointing performance of the filly, rider stated that in his view his mount was not suited by the fast tempo of the race but ultimately failed to run out the 1600m journey.

Rdr reported that mount began awkwardly and as a result his left foot made heavy contact with the barriers. Consequently he settled further back than intended. Added that passing the 700m mount took charge and as a result he allowed the filly to improve to four wide without cover. Rdr added mount hung out rounding the home turn.

6 VENTURE CAPITAL 2/08/2019 Wyong Rdr reported it was not his intention to lead, however, when the mare began extremely well and he was able to cross runners to his inside without placing his mount under undue pressure, he elected to take up the lead position.

15e KENTUCKY AWARD 25/07/2019 Kembla Grange When quest re the geld racing further fwd today, rdr stated that she was instructed to ride prominently, if possible. Added that, after starting only fairly, allowed the geld to stride fwd whereby it was able to assume a position outside the leader approaching the 1000m. Further stated that her mnt was inclined to race keenly throughout the mid-stages. Co-tnr confirmed instructions & was reminded of obligation to notify Stewards of any change of tactics.
16e INVINCIBLE KISS 27/07/2019 Gosford Bumped on jumping. Approaching the 600m laid in and made contact with the running rail for some distance, became unbalanced and lost ground. Held up rounding the home turn, on straightening was disappointed for a run and was then held up until near the 150m, whereby it was shifted to the outside to secure clear running.

6 NAUTIBERNIE (NZ) 1/08/2019 Hawkesbury Near the 1700m had to be steadied when crowded. Rdr reported that it was his intention to race more forward however when the mare did not show the necessary early speed to race prominently, and after receiving interference shortly after the start, mount settled in a position behind midfield.

11 CRETE BOBS Extra Bonus Scheme 27/07/2019 Gosford Began awkwardly and shifted in. Raced keenly in the early stages and near the 1500m shifted in when awkwardly placed close to heels. Briefly held up rounding the home turn, before shifting to outside approaching the 200m to secure clear running.

13 SUNDAY POET 21/01/2019 Moruya COT: Option to ride mount quieter if circumstances prevailed where it was likely to be trapped wide; led. When questioned, rdr stated that whilst she was obliged to make some use of her mount to obtain the lead from her wide draw, in her view her mount was disappointing in its failure to finish its race off.
