Added before placing mount under pressure looked over shoulder & observed still held margin in field & cont to hold mount together. Further std after looking 2nd time near 300m, observed another rnr imp to his outside so immed placed mount under full pressure where it resp well before weakening over final 50m.

When questioned regarding the performance, rdr advised that whilst he was obliged to do some work in the early stages, the mare, which was resuming from a spell, weakened in the straight and in his opinion would derive benefit from today¿s performance. Post race vet exam revealed no abs.

11 IKABA 3/10/2017 Nowra Rider std his mount travelled well in a favourable pos outside leader, however his mount was then under press from ht & was disappointing in its failure to respond in straight. A post-race vet exam rev no abs. Tnr could offer no explanation for disappointing performance & adv gelding had pleased stable leading into today¿s event. Tnr was asked to report back on progress of gelding in days subsequent. Tnr advised Gelding pulled up well & would continue with prep.
13 RETURN JOURNEY 23/09/2017 Come-By-Chance A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to have a slightly elevated heart rate.
14 FOUNTAINS 3/10/2017 Nowra Rdr std that she was instr to allow mount to race where comfortable & when mount began particularly well today & was initially trapped wide, she elected to roll fwd & take up lead. Added that whilst she was aware that tempo was solid in mid stgs, as she was also instr not to hold mount up she allowed it to roll along at that tempo.
